About Camp Quiver

Camp Quiver exists for one person: the buyer who wants to get a hunter a great gift and doesn't hunt themselves.

Who this is for

If you've ever stood in a hunting aisle — or scrolled a wall of camouflage online — wondering what on earth to buy the hunter in your life, this site is for you. Camp Quiver is a gift guide written in plain English for people who don't hunt, don't know the jargon, and just want to give something the recipient will genuinely use. We sort every gift three ways: by what they hunt, by who it's for, and by how much you want to spend— and we put a live price on every single pick.

Who writes it

Camp Quiver is written by Stephen V., an enthusiast who's genuinely into this stuff — I read the manuals, compile the published specs, compare prices, and do the math so you don't have to. I'm not a guide and I don't run a test lab. What I do is figure out which gifts a hunter will actually use, sort them by budget and by what they hunt, and show you a live price on every one. No lab coat, no fake "we tested forty knives" — just honest, useful picks.

Why the honesty matters

A lot of gift and gear sites lean on borrowed authority: staff "test labs," credentials, and claims of hands-on testing that are impossible to verify. We take the opposite approach, on purpose. We tell you plainly that we compile published manufacturer specifications, weigh each product's reputation among hunters, and compare live prices — and that we don't field-test the gear ourselves. That transparency is the whole point: you can check our reasoning, and you never have to wonder whether a "test result" was real. You can read exactly how it works on our how we choose page.

How we're funded

Camp Quiver is reader-supported. Some of our links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which gifts we recommend — we point you toward whichever option is the better buy for the person you're shopping for. Full details are on our affiliate disclosure page.
