Editorial Policy

Accuracy

Every factual claim we make about a product — a blade length, a magnification, a capacity — traces to a manufacturer specification or another published source, never to memory or guesswork. When a detail can't be verified, we leave it out or attribute it ("per the manufacturer") rather than fill the gap with a plausible-sounding number.

No invented ratings or testing claims

We do not invent customer ratings, endorsements, star scores, or feedback numbers, and we do not claim to have field-tested or lab-tested gear we haven't. Camp Quiver has no test lab, and we say so plainly. Our authority comes from a transparent, reproducible method — documented on our how we choosepage — not from borrowed credentials or unverifiable claims.

Independence

Recommendations are buyer-first. Affiliate commissions (disclosed on our affiliate disclosure page) never influence which products we recommend or how we rank them. Manufacturers and retailers cannot pay for a place on a list, and no brand vets our content before it publishes.

Pricing

Prices are pulled from a live data feed and stamped with the date they were captured. We never publish a hard-coded price in our body copy. If a live price isn't available, we show a link to check the current price instead of displaying a stale one.

Updates and cadence

Roundups and comparison tables are re-verified on a regular cadence to catch discontinued models, new releases, and price shifts, and the "updated" date is bumped when we make a substantive change. Seasonal lists — stocking stuffers, Christmas gifts — are refreshed before their season.

Corrections

We're human, and we'd rather be corrected than be wrong. If you spot an error — a discontinued product, a mislabeled spec, a broken link — email us via the contact pageand we'll review and fix it promptly, updating the page's date to reflect the change.

Our promise

The whole point of Camp Quiver is to be the honest friend who happens to know about this stuff. That only works if we're straight with you — about how we choose, how we're funded, and what we do and don't know. These standards are how we keep that promise.
